The news BSV music platform SonicStar just shared a pretty eye-catching stat: creator Ruth Heasman earned almost as much in a few weeks on SonicStar as she did in two years on Spotify. SonicStar pays artists directly with nanopayments, about 1,000 satoshis per stream (roughly $0.00015), skipping label middlemen and subscription fees.
The platform splits revenue 75% to the artist and 15% to SonicStar, with the rest covering network fees.

Listeners can either stream a song via nanopayment or just buy the Ordinal outright to own it in their wallet. The platform works with MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A/AAC files and it integrates with BRC-100 wallets.
This setup matters because it removes the pooled royalty model that so many independent artists have criticized. Spotify pays $0.003 to $0.005 per stream, but it all goes into a pool that tends to favor big catalogs.
SonicStar sends value straight to the artist at the moment of listening. Sure, the per-stream rate is lower than Spotify's, but there's no middleman and Heasman's real-world results show that direct payments can beat two years of pooled Spotify income in just a few weeks.
SonicStar's also experimenting with AI agents as both music creators and paying listeners. If they pull that off, it'll be the first time we see machine-to-machine micropayments in the BSV music world.
What's next? Heasman's result is just one data point. The model really needs more earnings data from a wider group of artists before the economic case is solid.
SonicStar still has to solve the classic cold-start problem: building up a listener base when Spotify and Apple Music have been around forever and have huge network effects.

Two big blocks from qdlnk were right there too: block 951,011 with 154,259 transactions in 27.20 MB, and block 951,069 with 97,253 transactions in 30.51 MB.
Block 951,055 got tagged to taal.com Teranode with 1,024 transactions in 0.25 MB. That's the first Teranode-tagged block in this week's set.
Other miners active that day included taal.com, Mining-Dutch, GorillaPool and SA100.

That suggests a sustained enterprise workload, not just a one-off spike.
Block 950,997 from Mining-Dutch kicked off the sample at 16,306 transactions in 3.04 MB. Block 951,084 from taal.com added 26,876 transactions in 4.86 MB.
The other sample blocks (951,026, 951,098, 951,113, 951,127 and 951,142) were lighter, ranging from 6 to 69 transactions. That's just normal variation in a live chain.
BSV's 146 blocks for the UTC day fits its 10-minute average block target. The Teranode appearance at 951,055 is small in transaction count but still notable: Teranode is taal.com's next-gen node, and seeing it in live mining is a step beyond testnet or internal runs.
What's next? The qdlnk workload is the big open question here. Two blocks over 97,000 and 154,000 transactions in a single day from one pool points to a major enterprise client.
If that client gets identified publicly, it'll be a big adoption story for BSV. Watching Teranode's frequency in future snapshots will show if its production presence is growing.
